Saturday Splendor

Can you believe it? Look at that ladies and gents (mostly, hopefully ladies). Look at that ol’ boy, out on the bike, ripping it up, keeping it real. First day back out, it’s been over two months, and the back is feeling like its old self. Not bad, not bad at all.

           Snapped with my worn iPhone.

SplendorThink I even managed a mild tan while out riding. Sun draped the valley in its golden splendor. I think we hit the mid 70’s today? That’s a big plus for the end of March. Pretty spectacular.

Around Here, Second Batch

Alrighty Barbara, here are a few more. Let me know what you think.

If you like them, I’ll make you a disc of the original file sizes.

Thanks!

I’m going to do some more of the Salem Conference Center, but I’m going to try at a time when traffic is at a minimum. Maybe earlier in the morning.

This was my dinner at DaVinci’s. One of the most expensive, yet smallest plates I’ve ever had. But nothing could’ve beat their slow service.

Only thing about the Elsinore, they need these lights ON. Hard to capture the feeling with them off. I’ve noticed they are off in quite a few photos I’ve seen, even those in the side windows at the Elsinore. Beautiful building though.

This was taken at a different time, and although I’m not a big fan of the dull lighting, it still looks presentable.

Backgrounds are different. Sky was changing at a graceful pace.

Capital Center. Tallest building in Salem. Only been to the top once, and that was when I was a kid. Security politely asked, “Get your shots, and then get lost. No loitering, and yes, shooting photos is loitering.”

I’m still going to try to get to the top. I asked security, and they said it was privately owned. They also sounded doubtful about my inquiries for the skyline.
