Yodeling Cafe

Yoder-Oregon-540x360

Dad took this with his Walmart Kodak. Guess he’s going to fix this place up. That’s going to take some serious devotion, and coffee consumption. He’s going more for a nostalgic cafe look. You chew on your coffee beans, spit out the grounds. Boyd’s is partnering up with him. This should be an interesting project.

365 Days of Flash Photography, With Day Number 84 and 85…

Another late post! I’ve had a hectic past few days, thus not enough time on my laptop or with internet. Anyhoo, here are a couple of shots from Stephanie and Chad’s wedding. Couple of my top picks for pics from this last weekend. There are so many to choose from, and I’m currently working through them all. Tomorrow, I might add two new gallery sections from their wedding. It’s looking that way…I’ll keep you posted…

Here is Day Number 84…

365DFP-84Perfect trails, prefect couple. Tillamook Forestry Center really has it put together. It’s a beautiful place for weddings, or family outings, with hiking and fishing along the Wilson River. I highly suggest.

 Here is Day Number 85…

Adjusted81Class Canceled.

I’m not sure when this place had finally closed its doors. Old school. Harmonyville, Oregon.

Jubilee Java

August was National Coffee Month. August. I had no idea. From August to Anguish. How I hope thy Java gods forgive me.

However, the ultimate caffeinated cup of christening falls on September 29. National Coffee Day.

May Jubilee Java find mercy upon my redeemed, roasted, forever spirited sipping soul.

365 Days of Flash Photography, With Day Number 80… Nippiness

Here is Day Number 80…

Adjusted80 Been out on a few late evening walks. Mostly downtown, since Salem is the happening place. Weather wise, it’s been nice. Yeah, it’s beginning, the whole September nippiness. I guess that’s actually a word. Not quite fall, but you can feel it starting to happen. It’s the same thing every year, however with us Oregonians it’s kind of a big deal, because we all love fall and we all hate to see summer go. If you’re from So Cal, then you have no idea what I’m even talking about.

365 Days of Flash Photography, With Day Number 79… No Rules Miller

No Rules Miller. Allie Miller Style, making Day Number 79…

My sister and I share a morbid sense of humor. One of our main subjects, and he always surfaces, is Bundy. Not long ago, we were talking about meeting girls. I mentioned something along the lines of needing a VW bug for the first date. My sister added, without missing a beat, “You can borrow my crutches.”

Heartless.

This photo is for my sister, who collects rare fossils.

Divine Burgers and Day Number 77…

AdjustedDB1If you’re looking for a fun and eclectic environment, along with good grub, then try out Tillamook’s Divine Burger Bistro. We really enjoyed it, and plus they have live music. They even use local, grass fed beef. How about that? May not be Painted Hills, but it’s still good stuff. And it’s fresh, none of that frozen patty stuff.

Adjusted77Local talent. This guy was getting down to business. Played a few sonatas for us, all originals. He made todays photo, Day Number 77.

AdjustedDB2Check them out if you’re exploring downtown, located at 2003 2nd Street, Tillamook, Oregon. Or visit their Facebook page, Divine Burger Bistro.

Java Shots: Five Rivers Coffee Roasters, Along With Day Number 76…

Award winning coffee and cameras go hand in hand. No need for debate there. This was the case with Five Rivers Coffee Roasters, located in Tillamook, Oregon. Great flavor! They won the “Best Coffee in Oregon” bronze award for 2013, while previously taking gold in 2012.

Our barista, Megan, showed us around. How I wish I had one of these at home.

JS2 copyThey roast their own beans, then distribute them at different java stops and cafes along the coast.

JS3 copyBeans in the raw. Straight from the burlap.

JS4 copyFinished, gloriously roasted.

JS5 copyAfter roasting, they place the black gold in buckets, which then go home with me.

JS6 copyI bought a couple bags. One is going to my dad. He’s gotta kick his Boyd’s habit. This might do the trick.

365DFP-76 copyOur wonderful barista, Megan. She’s holding two bags of my favorite drug, one being Fogcutter blend, the other Espresso. Holding those bags makes her look even prettier than she already is. You simply can’t go wrong. Coffee and her made for Photo Number 76.

JS7 copyPay them a visit. Right along Highway 101. Or visit their website, Stimulus Espresso Cafe. You won’t be disappointed.

Friday the 13th: Spirits, Among Us

Ghosts

A lady on Coast to Coast AM, “Sage does not get rid of ghosts. All it takes is one incidence for a skeptic to change their mind. Remote viewing has helped me, these places are loaded with spirits and beings and creatures.” So, if you see strange lights, or foggy rooms, weird shadows, hear noises that sound like voices…there’s a good chance it’s a spirit being or entity from another world. Hand over your skeptic card, and accept your pre-qualified Spiritual Companion card, because entities are everywhere you want to be.
