Here is number 127…
Since I was a kid, I always believed that spring had arrived when the first swallows caught my eye. That was the case today. Green backs glistening, flecks of sunlight beaming through blotches of blues and grays directly above. White underbellies skimming the bodies of water surrounding Ankeny. They eluded my camera, staying far out, busy on bugs. But they were there, they are here. And so is spring.
That’s my front door on the second level.
